Portugal

Alhamdulliah i had a good soundly dream last nite. As early as 8am we make a move for Seville city tour. As a 4th largest city in Spain, conquered by many dynasty, and now time for the new generation to see on the empire built previously. Its so nice though!

Proceed our journey as what written in the tentative and the bus leaving to the west part of Spain before entering Portugal. The journey took more than 5 hours traveling time, made my waist feel terrible, my body in pain and i couldnt get a nice nap. This no good bus equipped with a badly designed seat. And i have another 3 days to only passage this bus to take me back to Madrid before departing to Dubai.

*I continue this blog in Jan 2012*

Lisbon, or Portugal, we went to visit Jeronimos Monastery. Located at Balem, previously a busy port in Portugal, The monastery is one of the most prominent monuments of the Manueline-style architecture (Portuguese late-Gothic) in Lisbon, classified in 1983 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, along with the nearby Tower of Belém. The scenary is awesome with a nice cool weather when we were here.

                                                                     Impressive built!

Its got a very long and big structure developed long time ago and still standing at this age. What a nice moment here. Santa Maria Church located in this building too. I saw a transition of time: from Gothic Style to Renaissance. If you re serious traveler or  love history, you will find the different easily. And its got it substances when you know a little bit about history and previous story in this beauty world.

Then, the beauty Angel, our tourist guide kindly bought us a nice local puff, which you can only get in here. I really meant it, it just a legacy receipe and has been inherit for few generations and still securely kept in their family members only. The shop is just few meters from the Jeronimos.

When the feet screaming after thousand time walking, the enjoyment served as we were taken to the luxury branded shopping street. What you dream, Prasa, LV HUGO and so on, you will find it here. The best thing is when your credit limit is infinity...you may shopped like mad....I got few thinggys here from Hard Rock Lisbon. It located at the end of the shop row. I bought short pent, I meant really shorts, a cap and a pin for the souvenirs. I will not, after this, buy any HRC tshirts. This is because my closets has no space for this 'will faded' thinggy. And somemore, tshirt wont last long and i am not considere tshirt as souvinier.

 BELEM @ Bethlehem (Portugis word)

Belém is famous as the place from which many of the great Portuguese explorers set off on their voyages of discovery. In particular, it is the place from which Vasco da Gama departed for India in 1497. It is also a former royal residence and features the 17th–18th century Belém Palace, former royal residence and now occupied by the President of Portugal, and the Ajuda Palace, begun in 1802 but never completed.
Perhaps Belém's most famous feature is its tower, Torre de Belém, whose image is much used by Lisbon's tourist board. The tower was built as a fortified lighthouse late in the reign of Dom Manuel (1515–1520) to guard the entrance to the port at Belém. It stood on a little island in right side of the Tagus, surrounded by water.
